Laundry room clothes hanger

I used four of these hangers and a wooden rod to make a heavy duty clothes hanging rod for my laundry room. Using lag bolts into the studs ensured a solid mount that won’t loosen with use. Small countersunk screws in the handy holes in each hanger into the rod secures it in place. This also allows you to custom fit the hanger to your requirements.

Medium Duty= VERY LIGHT DUTY - Do NOT USE w/WEIGHT

DANGER! Very weak doward strength, put 4 on a shelf board and tried a hang test and they folded at less than 50lbs per bracket. Use for DECO only, not any load bearing, the diagonal curved bar just folds down. I had to replace them with stronger brackets - a real pain! VERY WEAK!

Check the Welds Before you Buy!

So first off these are great, the 3 stars is to catch the attention of potential buyers to really check the product in store before you buy! Two things to look for as you sort through the bin and drive your spouse crazy since they think they're all the same. 1) Check the welds to make sure they are all intact, a very light pressure to stress the weld will quickly reveal a crack where the diagonal brace piece attaches right behind the hook. Heavy Duty? NO. Look at the pictures.

Under the weight of clothing on the rod, it folded up. See photos. I have never seen this type of structural failure in a shelf or rod bracket regardless of "duty" strength. Did not hold up weight

I used 3 of these to support a long closet rod. I put one every other stud and thought it would be more than sufficient to support the weight. I was wrong. Less than 24 hours later it came crashing down.

Bracket holding closet rod bent improperly

The bend to accept the 1 1/4” rod is way too wide to cradle the rod without excess movement and places the rod less than 1” under a shelf mounted on the bracket. Can not slide coat hangers easely between gap at top of rod and bottom of shelf. Just poorly made. Had to return.

Easy to install, one suggestion

These were easy to install! Also helpful was the fact that the website told me they could be found in Aisle 40, Bin 16. I went right to it. Since every installation is supposed to be into a wall stud with 1 1/2" screw, it would be helpful if two of those screws were included. It took me 15 minutes to find the right screws on the wall of options, which was more time than it took to install them.

This is very good quality. My only issue was getting the screw into the top corner, as its hard to screw it in. The instructions were also lacking. Make sure you measure before you buy this to make sure it fits! It fit my closet, and i have 10.5 inches from the wood bracket that holds this up.
