Bought the torch to melt crack sticks. It wouldnt stay lit. Then it would not light at all. I took it back and exchanged it for a new one. This one stayed lit in the upright position. I read further on the instructions and it is only intended for an upright torch. So dont buy this unless you intend to use it for upright copper plumbing. It wont work well for that either if you have to tilt it!

Doesn't work well at all

Purchased this to use with crack filler on my driveway. Automatic lighter does not work at all. When using a lighter you have to continually light it and when it finally stays lit it doesn't produce a consistent flame. Would NOT recommend at all.

Used this to heat up the end of a metal fish tape to make a bend at the end. Worked flawlessly

I had a torch years ago and never used it because it was such a hassle to light. This new one with a striker makes it a valuable tool and a person looks for opportunities to use it. I got mine at the clearance rack at Lowe's, Cornelia Ga, because the box was crumpled on one side. So I got a jam up torch at a gifted price. Go Lowe's!!

No torch heads from Bernzomatic work!

I have now bought 3 of these. The first one I returned because the trigger starter didn't work. The 2nd one I only realized it wouldn't work inverted when I got it home. It doesn't have a pressure-regulator, though nothing on the box says that or says that it can't be used horizontally. You literally have to have it straight up or the gas stops flowing. Garbage torch head

Don't waste your time or money on this combo. After spending WAY too long trying to use this garbage torch head I went to another store and bought a different head which worked perfectly well and got the job done in minutes. Don't make the same mistake I did and skip this product all together.

Flame goes out

The flame goes out every time.

Bad Product

I've bought about 22 of these within the last year, every 2 weeks i would have to return it for a exchange for the same product, did it almost 22 times because the igniter goes out after 2-3 weeks of use. Ridiculous product. Kept exchanging it because theres no reason for me to buy a new torch head every month and did not know other companies makes the same product. there this Bluefire brand I haven't tried yet. But yeah thought bernzOmatic was the best till this happen to me. I'm hoping Bluefir...

Great for creating a charred finish!

Worked great for a craft project - charred grey finish on some inexpensive photo frames.

Worked once

Complete waste of money. Got it to light once with the trigger starter, then stopped working. Even getting it going with matches, it won’t hold a flame for long.

Igniter issues

The igniter worked for 2 uses and now has to be lit with a lighter. Guess no point in spending the extra money if I have to still hand light it.

Won't stay lit.

Wow what a lot of good reviews, but the torch won't stay lit. Instructed to check the torch to make sure it is getting o2, when the plastic housing broke. Can't take it back, guess I'll take the brazing rods back. Big 'O waste of time, but life is good nevertheless. :)

Fine at first, then stops Igniting

Used this for a few small vinyl wrapping projects. At first, it would spark up right away. After a few usages, it just stopped igniting. Clicking, clicking and clicking the ignition switch, still nothing. Even tried to start it with a lighter, it’ll burst a flame and shut right off. Researched online and it seems to be a common issue on this igniter switch. I’m not sure how warranty would work since I didn’t get the receipt from the store.

Perfect for what I use it for

This is the perfect little torch set, easy to install the torch head and easy to ignite. Adjustment is easy to use. Overall a good quality tool if you need this type of thing. Replacement tanks are inexpensive also.
