What Customers Are Saying
Customers report the trap captures carpenter bees with remarkable consistency, with many catching dozens within days and some reporting 6-8 bees daily. Reviewers praise its ease of hanging and emphasize that placement near active bee entry points like decks and railings is critical for success. Many purchase multiple units for larger areas, expressing strong satisfaction with results. However, a notable minority report no success despite correct placement, and some mention bees escaping or continuing to drill nearby. Overall, most customers consider it highly effective when positioned correctly.

Not a trap
Would Not RecommendThere wasn’t a single carpenter bee come close to it, they just kept flying.

Worth it
Would RecommendThese bee traps work great! We have had serious issues with carpenter bees, but these traps seem to really work. I have already caught close to 10 bees between 2 traps, and just purchased 2 more of these. They are simple but effective.

Doesn’t work
Would Not RecommendIt’s a gimmick. Installed as directed right need where I usually see carpenter bees nest. They fly right around it and go to their usual spot. I did catch a black widow-looking spider though!

Pretty good trap after you have a bee inside
Would RecommendCons - this trap needs a bee inside for it to be effective. I messaged the manufacturer, as requested, to let them know this. It was very effective AFTER I put a bee inside. Pros - once a bee was inside, they were much more easily lured in and stopped trying to drill holes into my new construction. It was also nice to have the see-through bottom to track the bee entries.

This trap worked great!
Would RecommendI bought one at first to see if it worked because these cost $20 a piece. I had already killed 25 bees with a tennis racket but they just kept coming back so I had to find a better way. I hung one trap and left it for a few days. When I came back there were 10 Bee's in it but my house was still swarming in bees. I went out and bought six more and hung them. Within a few hours one trap already had four Bee's in it.
