Would RecommendThere is a small gap between the hopper and the tray so larger seeds/nuts do not feed into the tray easily. Even shaking doesn't help much so I'll need something larger for squirrels. But for a bird feeder it works great, holds a reasonable amount that won't be soaked by rain.

Would RecommendA previous feeder I had purchased had holes large enough that picky birds would just stick their head in and shovel what they didn't want onto the ground. This feeder doesn't have that problem. Instead, the feed comes out a thin space at the base of the clear plastic.
