After dozens of swing-and-a-miss, we found sneak attacks to be a better use of this bug zapper. We had great results by stealthily trapping flying insects on a wall, ceiling or other flat surface. The CRACKLE-ZAP of contact was surprisingly loud at first, but then became very satisfying. Quite often a second zap was needed...
