Love this unit

Well Made Blender

This is the second brand of blender I've ever owned.I had worn out 4 or 5 blenders of another make previously. This one looks like it should last a lifetime. It is heavy, well designed, and noisy. I especially like the design, easily set up, easy to clean and looks impressive. But has a lot of push buttons that apear to be unnecessary.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never blended before was kinda hesitant but this blender is very easy to use made my first smoothie and I loved how easy it was to use the digital control panel was great.

Too much light weight plastic.

The base is lighter than the glass container causing the base to jump around when crushing frozen berries. The part that attaches to the glass jar is very light weight plastic which I am afraid will have a short life, and the sealing gasket is part of the blade base making it hard to clean well. The glass jar, which is the main reason I purchased it, is by far the heaviest part of this blender. I’m learning to use it so that it performs better, but it certainly isn’t the quality of my 20 +year...

Not good for blending grains and lentils

The blender motor beings to burn when you use whole grains in a smoothie immediately after which the blender stops running

Not so Quiet

This blender is not so quiet after all. It also requires the food to be cut into small pieces even if placed into the jar itself. The ingredient slot into the jar is very small. When using the smoothie automatic operation, it stops when done but the light remains steady so I wait a bit not knowing if it is truly done or just going through its little rest between spins. My previous blender light would flash when the cycle was fully completed. There are only a four blade arms--two large & two...

Amazing!!

Easy to set-up, operate and pour product.

Just purchased the B&D Blender today! Tried it with chocolate Organic Plant-based Protein powder, raspberries, fresh pineapple and ice! Yummy for a bedtime snack. Looking forward to using it daily. I like that it is sturdy yet easy-breezy to handle. More soon after I've had a chance to use it for at least 2 weeks. Thanks, so far.

Horrible

The manual clearly says that I can put the blade in the dishwasher. The first couple of times that I used this blender I usually washed the blades right after each used. However, one day I couldn't do it and I decided to put it in the dishwasher. I do not understand how it is safe to even put it when it melted. If the material which the plastic around the blade is made is made of badplastic nobody should recommed to put it in the dishwasher. Now I cannot even find the part it uses. I cannot used...

Makes amazing smoothies!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure why my review never posted so I'm rewriting it. I'm in love with this blender! I don't think I've ever gotten a smooth smoothie. There's always lumps of frozen fruit or things that just don't blend as well. I'm also taken back by how it doesn't make as much noise as other blenders I've had. Honestly can't say enough good things about it. I love it.

So when I wanted to make smoothies, I would have to buy a bag of ice ahead of time. Sometimes I ran out and would have to make a trip to the store.
