I’ve owned a B&D string trimmer for years. You know, the kind where the string “automatically extends”? Problem is, it never before worked as advertised with replacement spools purchased at other than the B&D online store. I was surprised and pleased when my old string trimmer began working as advertised.

Tangles and jams
The plastic line jams - either it fuses together or gets tangled and jams. With each one I have to stop and untangle or pull it apart with a knife. One of them I just threw away it was so messed up.
