Would RecommendUsed this product for many years. It is very reliable! I tried lower priced/longer lines where you had to hand thread the line, but you spend more time re-spooling it when it stops feeding itself. This is a great product that never failed me. So now I just buy a replacement to keep in the garage and just put a new one on when its empty. Just too much time & hassle to use the more generic, spool-it-yourself types. This model takes only a second or two to just pop a new one in place.

Breaks every time!!!!
Would Not RecommendI’ve gotten 4 of these things and they’ve all broken. The last one broke as soon as I started using it. Because I know they’re so flimsy, I purposely didn’t throttle the weed eater. But after about 15 minutes of use, the wire was too short to use. So I opened it and out came a tangled spool, with the plastic completely broken. Again!

I bought this for a backup spool so I don’t have to rewind right away. I like the weed eater a lot, easy to change positions from horizontal to vertical. I keep 2 spools loaded which gets me through a couple of uses without stopping to rewind
