When using as a floor vacuum, it takes little next to no pressure for it to propel forward and automatically adjusts the section when going from hardwood to carpet. It handled my tile, hardwood, carpet and rugs like a champ! It even picked up hay on my carpet from my guinea pigs that bigger vacuums struggle with!
