Fire Hazard - Bell and Howell Model #8020FEG
Would Not RecommendBell and Howell Model #8020FEG. I've had for at least two years. The base is faulty. See photos of the base (end that screws into the socket). It is charred and burned black. I noticed a buzzing crackling sound coming from the fixture. Then I smelled burning and saw smoke. I immediately turned it off and took it down. Buyer beware. In my experience it does not appear to be safe.

Shouldn’t have to keep a receipt for over a year just in case their product fails. Needless to say, I’ll never purchase another product of theirs again

Would RecommendNeeded much better lighting in my garage. Not that what I had was horrible, but I detail my cars in there throughout the winter. At any rate, I have 4 of these up replacing regular LED bulbs and the difference is insane (in a good way). Highly recommended.

Would Not RecommendPurchased from Lowe’s 6 months ago. Two of the 4 lights went out. Obviously it’s past Lowe’s return policy and Bell-Howell will do absolutely nothing about it either. I spent $40 on a light that is supposed to last 50,000 hours. It’s maybe seen 5 hours total in our supply room in our finished basement. Save your money and look elsewhere! 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
