Only 1 side fits a male garden hose, other side does not fit male garden hose.

Leaks

 Would Not Recommend

This item only comes with one inside diameter gasket. After reading the reviews on the PVC model, I was convinced I need this one. After getting it as tight as it will go, it still leaks. I'm just going to live with it since I'm using it to connect to my irrigation system.

after a search of both the garden dept and the plumbing dept, an employee found the item. I later determined that the part was defective and had to return to Lowe's to return the item.

not very solid.

 Would Not Recommend

this is made out of a brass alloy of some kind. It is kind of flimsy but will work for light duty applications. I needed it for something more than putting two watering hoses together.
