never stopped dripping
It never stopped dripping. I tried teflon tape, paste pipe thread sealer, and it still dripped. If I overtightened it, it would have split open.

The threads on this cap were so clean, it screwed right
SAE sized. Not metric.
It worked out well. No leaks with the Teflon thread sealer in it.
