This fitting was just what in needed to covert form 1/2" to 3/8" to set up a new faucet. Store associate was very helpful in locating this part.

Both the 1/2" thread and the 3/8" thread are compression threads, not tapered Iron Pipe Threads (IPT)

Good reducer

I needed a 3/8” cap for a water valve but they were out. So I took this reducer and a pice of 1/4” tubing sealed it and used it.
