Not as "Heavy Duty" as it is advertised
Would Not RecommendI am replacing a solid tank of a mailbox that is 13 years old. The old mailbox wasn't broke, just old so I figured I would freshing things up by getting a new "heavy duty" mail box. This is flimsy, not thick nor heavy. The door seems like it will not last. I will be returning this for something more solid.
Great box, poor magnet for door latch
The mailbox is fairly solid overall and has a nice look mounted to the company’s round pole. The door has an overlapping design which is great to help keep mail dry. I’d give it 5 stars if the magnet that holds the door shut didn’t break within 4 days of installation. I went back to exchange it but the same box was no longer in stock so I bought a universal magnet and made it work.
Terrible quality
Would Not RecommendThis mailbox looks sturdy, but is is literally falling apart. I bought a rivet gun to fix it and now screws are falling out. Don't waste your money on this.
Broken magnet
Would RecommendArrived in good condition, but the magnet that holds the door closed was broken in three pieces. Tried calling the number on the box. Left a message and so far no response.
Mailbox
The door is reinforced around the edge and is attached with a piano type of hinge. Hopefully this will stand up to snowplows this winter.
