I wanted to remove the softener salt, this works!
We have good water, but it is hard and we have it softened. We don't have one faucet that is regular. This really takes out the salt. I fill a water bottle so the carafe works best for me.

Does the job but has its own issues
I like what the Aqua Tru filter removes from the water via reverse osmosis. The "scale" maintenance, however, was not explained at purchase time and we find it is a bit tedious and unexpected requiring purchase of maintenance products we also did not expect. Add that to the fact that it relies on electricity and for RV trips we would prefer the gravity system(s) as long as they also remove the Chromium and Flouride. So it's a mixed bag for us. Love my filter. One issue after filtering a new full carafe, and removing it to pour a glass, it begins to filter again. this only happens after th first glass is poured.
