It is easily filled and does not require to be disposed of when chemical runs out. We do not have to throw away and buy a new one every time the chemical is used up. It looks nice floating in our pool. It is not bulky and does not cause a problem by getting in front of the filter/pump and stopping flow through the filter. We are very happy that we found this product
