New filter design is TERRIBLE

I have a large home with four dogs. I have six Alen units in my home! They work well. HOWEVER…. . the new design where you can no longer change the pre filter is horrible. It was clearly done to make customers have to buy more filters. I’m really disappointed in Alen for this.

NEW FILTER DESIGN does allow to change pre filter

I'm disappointed that Alen changed the pre filter to inside the filter box. Therefore, the customer can no longer change the pre filter to extend the length of time before having to replacing the hepa filter. Not being able to change the pre filter makes the customer purchase more filters and more products end up in the LANDFILL. SHAME

My hopes were high, but it did not help my dust mite allergy :(

Wrong size listed

This filter is 14" not 15". 3x14x11. I have not used it but seams durable.

Perfect as always

Amazing how much dust it catches. The extra cloth filter cover is no longer there but there is a new mesh filter cover, which makes it easier to vacuum off the dust before filter needs to be changed. I would not recommend putting the old cloth filter on top of the mesh one bc that will obstruct the flow.

Dusty boxes

Outside of boxes were awfully dusty in store. Filters were packed in a plastic bag inside the box so no problem there.

Instructions should be more prominent

The machine works fine but support is lacking . I did not know I was supposed to clean the filter after vacuuming til I bought anew filter. I also did not know I was supposed to reset the filter light fora month or two after installing said new filter. Still the purifier works great and I am healthier for it.

Great Performance and Aesthetically Pleasing

We have used two of the Alen Breathesmart 45i purifiers for almost one year. They operate seamlessly on auto mode and are quiet until a higher fan speed is needed when the air becomes unhealthy. Then the fan noise is obviously louder, but still not obtrusive.
