What Customers Are Saying
The adjustable jack post is well-made and durable, able to handle heavy loads. Many customers found it easy to install and adjust the height as needed, with the swivel plate at the bottom helping to level the post. However, some customers received defective products with painted-over adjustment screws that were difficult or impossible to turn.

Would Not RecommendDo not buy these. They are constructed so poorly that they are inoperable. The threads in the the screw adjustment are cut so poorly that the thread plate won't adjust up the threaded rod. Colossal waste of money.
Akron 12” Adjustable Jack - exactly what I needed
Would RecommendThe product did exactly as described in the product data and reviews by customers.
Floor
Would RecommendThis product made a world of difference in leveling my floor in my kitchen. Where the floor used to bounce now is sturdy as a rock.
Easy Install, up in minutes
Would RecommendI have a 1920's home with a single solid wood beam running 32 ft. It is held by the basement foundation on both sides a single post in the center. There is a crack in one wall with a bit of push in. I have a plan to address this in the future but decided an extra post or two would be a worthwhile investment. I did not need to push the beam up, just snugged it in place before securing with lag screws. If I needed to exert pressure, would definitely need a 4 ft iron pipe to provide leverage on...
Works
Would RecommendIt does what it says. It was a little beat up when it arrived. The handles need to be longer to turn easier under pressure.
Akron Adjustable Jack Post
Would RecommendThis was a hit or miss item. When properly made they allow for a full 4 inch elevation. Multiple posts were initially delivered in which the screw mechanism did not work as designed. The both Lowe's and the manufacturer were exceptional at returning the defective products and expediting replacement items.
Good Jack Post
Would RecommendSurprisingly lightweight for how much it is rated to hold but it feels sturdy. Easy to maneuver and use. I would think it goes without saying but it is best to have a pipe for leverage in order to extend the jack under a load.
