What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this fire ant bait for exceptional effectiveness, with most reporting complete mound eradication within 24 to 72 hours by killing the queen and preventing regrowth. Many rely on it as a trusted, long-term solution after other brands failed, applying granules directly to mounds without special equipment. Several users treat large properties monthly or after rain, noting dramatic reductions in yard-wide infestations. A few report delayed results initially or slight mound movement, but most confirm success and keep it on hand as a dependable staple. Overall, reviewers consider it the most reliable fire ant treatment available.

Fite ant killer
Would RecommendBest fire ant treatment. Used others but one step is great. No watering in or mixing
Treat with care because it is toxic
Would RecommendIt is pretty toxic so be mindful when using it but I had 3 huge fire ant beds show up and I put a scoop on each of them following the directions exactly 3 beds were completely gone within hours. It worked way better than I expected!!!
Kinda Sorta Works Sometimes
Would Not RecommendKinda Sorta Works, sometimes, the only good thing is you don't have to water in. 1 tablespoon, on top seems to work as good as 1 cup, I've tried both. the Water in types work better.
Be sure and follow the directions for great result
Would RecommendApplied is directed and did the job. No recurrence.
A product that works better than any I have tried.
Would RecommendThis product is the Best I have tried ever! It works!!
Doesn't work like it used to
Would Not RecommendAmdro used to be the best for killing fire ants. I don't know what happened to their formula but it basically feeds them so the ants can move ove 3 - 3 feet and start a new mound. I will not buy this product again.
Excellent Ant Killer.
Would RecommendThis product works well for eliminating ants in the yard and around the house.
Potent Fire Ant Exterminator!
Would RecommendIf you have fire ant mounds, thsi works to kill the queen and get rid of them! It may not be cheap, but it definitely works and works quickly.
Works great !
Would RecommendAbout a table spoon amount sprinkled on a Fire Ant mound will usually kill the entire mound over night. Do Not disturb the mound prior to sprinkling the Amdro. The ants will come out at night and carry the granuals into mound to eat later. The next day you will see that all the granuals have been carried in to mound and the mound is dead. Really big Fire Ant mounds need a larger dose of Amdro.
