It protected me from breathing any of the insulation in as I fed it into the hopper and my husband as he was in the attic blowing the insulation up there. Would RecommendI have very bad allergies. This mask did as well as a respirator I owned. I use this for weed whacking as I have asthma induced by my allergies. Best part about this particular mask is it was large enough to cover my goatee without leaking pollen under the edges. Easy to breathe in heat as well.
