I swear by Command Hooks for EVERYTHING

Peeled the paint off of wall.

I bought these a few months ago for my family's coats and the kids' backpacks. This way we wouldn't have to drill into the wall and install a coat rack since we are renting. However that would have caused less damage and would've been easier to cover up. We were just sitting there watching tv and a hook that had my 4 year old daughter's empty backpack fell to the floor along with the paint from the wall. Damaged my wall

I used this during the holiday season & when I took it down it damaged my wall. I followed the instructions so I don't understand why this happened.

KILLED MY HOUSEPLANTS

I had hung up a mini hanging plant holder with about 6 small succulents in it. I had followed all of the instructions when hanging up the hook (including leaving it to sit without weight on it) and did not exceed the weight limit. Handy to have

Great for back packs

Inconsistent weight capability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these hooks & placed them behind various doors to hang a light jacket or sweater or shirt on hanger. No matter what I did, these hooks do not hold anything. Even when I left it alone without anything, it would randomly fall off door. Your picture of a backpack hanging off of it is also deceiving. You need to reevaluate how many pounds these hooks & others can actually hold & for how long, before needing to reattaching a new hook.

Coat hook for cubicle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to secure on the edge of my cubicle wall to the painted metal part as a coat hook. It held up for two years of pulling and tugging holding my heavy winter coat and my purse. When the company moved I removed the hook easily and it left no marks. I kept the hook and bought another packet of the sticky backing to use at the new work location!

Took off drywall and paint off walls

Handy hanger

Perfect for hanging wreaths and holiday decor.

ripped paint and sheet rock off the wall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used 4 of the large designer hooks to hang garland. Garland hung throughout the holidays without issue. The issue came when taking the strips off the wall. So much for damage free hanging; 3 of the 4 strips ripped paint and sheet rock off the wall. Looks like I'll be spackling and painting this weekend - thanks for another project.

Ripped paint off the wall!

Used 3 of these to hang a piece of garland across our window. Woke up to find that it came off the wall on the left side and took our paint off along with it. Garland is not heavy at all. What a huge disappointment! We have used many of these in the past and were very happy with them. Now, not so much :(

I invested a lot of money to have old family pictures. I spent over $200 on different command strips & hooks. I came home to broken glass & broken antique frames that I used extra strips & hooks on to ensure durability.
