Would RecommendI’ve breathed through three different military charcoal filters and I can guarantee these are easier to breath through. Also these filters seem to illuminate bad smells. If your doing a stinky job try these. I realize that’s kind of a apples to oranges comparison. That’s my only experience with filtered breathing. Take it for what it’s worth.

Mask Filters
Would RecommendBought Extra Filters when I bought the mask. It'll do the job. The only criticism I have I wish the info booklet was in laymen terms. I am just an ordinary home owner who has a workshop that I will be using the mask in to protect against sawdust & other critters floating in the air. Also when I do lawn work. I wish 3M dedicated one little paragraph for the every day Joe that could be understood. They make 5 different types of filters.
