My device was a horizontal plug - it worked great.

The item I purchased used a single outlet. I have some very low amp devices I must use at night, when I sleep. I risk death if they go out. This device worked great, powering an Uninterrupted Power System which I use in case of outages. It worked GREAT. Since it was new, I found myself constantly checking wires and the device for heat. Everything stayed nice and cool.

Surge suppressing outlet expander

I recently bought an existing house that all the wall sockets were installed upside down. This not only added two additional outlets, but the rotating receptacles allow me to use chargers for my cell pones and other electronics by rotating the overhang plug in charging heads away from the other outlets on the unit. This is really convenient for me.

to convert a duplex outlet to a quaudplex

I converted a duplex out let to a quadplex outlet with rotating sockets which helped because I needed to insert three plugs that include transformers which are large and would not allow side by side horizontal insertion. This way I was able to angle three of the sockets to accommodate all three transformer plugs.

Seems to work fine. The indicator light is on all the time. Would be nice to have an off switch when not being used. Hopefully it will work when needed. Ok so far.

Great outlet

I have put in two of these, one in the house, and one in the garage.
