What Customers Are Saying
The silt fence product has mixed reviews. While some found it effective and a decent value, many reported significant quality issues. The main concerns were poor quality of the wooden stakes, fabric material prone to tearing, and difficulty securing the fence to the ground. On the positive side, a few noted it was easy to set up and worked well for light-duty applications. However, the consensus is that the low-quality components may not withstand demanding use or challenging weather conditions over time.

Would Not RecommendCheap and flimsy. Torn and barely holding on. Serves the purpose j bought it for but I had to use my staple gun to reinforce the existing staples and add on 2 3ft stakes between each post to reinforce it.
Half of the Stakes broke
Would Not RecommendThe concept is a good one, though poorly executed. As I rolled it out and began staking the mesh, half of all the stakes broke. It appears that perhaps the blobs of glue used to hold the bundled in a tight wrap rotted many of the stakes. And others the stakes were so bent that once you began to hammer into the ground they broke! As I said - a good idea, poorly executed.
Perfect for keeping neighbors leaves on their side
Would RecommendWorks good and keeps my sloppy neighbors leaves that they don’t pick up all year from blowing onto my lawn.
need better sticks
sticks break to easy. had a hard time installing / competitors product, the sticks are thicker. other wise this product does it's intended job
Caution When Purchasing
Would Not RecommendBought these for a new construction site I'm working on. Half of the stakes were completely rotted and moldy on the interior of the silt fence roll. Soon as you tried ot put them into the ground, they shattered in pieces. Went to another Lowes to get another roll and it was in the exact same condition.
Decent quality for the price.
Would RecommendI was looking for an inexpensive way to block the view of a neighbor's dog into my yard - every time it would see me, it would go crazy barking. The fence definitely fit my goal of being inexpensive, but the fabric started to tear in several places within a day of installation. I also needed a few extra posts to hold the fabric at the three foot height.
Great if you check ever single stake
Would Not RecommendBought 2 sets and 6 stakes were broken in one and 5 in the other. What's the point?
It helps keep debris contained
Would RecommendGreat product
This is not for a long term job, temporary at best
Would RecommendThe fence comes lose easy from the picket material. The fence is good quality
Not great
Would Not RecommendPlan on restapling all the plastic as they are not attached well. Any moderate wind will pull the plastic off the staples. Also you will need to add more posts as there is too much distance between them as is. The wind blows and the plastic acts as a sail. Either buy something more substantial or plan on spending more money and time beefing it up. Not great by any means
Check Stakes First
Would RecommendThe silt fence worked well and kept dirt from eroding. Take the time to dig the trench and bury the bottom edge as directed. However, you really need to check the stakes before you buy it. Had one broken. Also look for big knots as it will possibly break at that point. Overall, very pleased.
