What Customers Are Saying
The silt fence product has mixed reviews. While some found it effective and a decent value, many reported significant quality issues. The main concerns were poor quality of the wooden stakes, fabric material prone to tearing, and difficulty securing the fence to the ground. On the positive side, a few noted it was easy to set up and worked well for light-duty applications. However, the consensus is that the low-quality components may not withstand demanding use or challenging weather conditions over time.

Bad/weak stakes
Would Not RecommendWeak / rotten stakes made the installation much harder than it should have been . Had to replace and/or reinforce 25-30% of the stakes on 300 ft of fence.

Probably best for larger sites than personal lawn
Would RecommendQuite a long stretch between posts. I am using in yard. This is probably fine at construction sites. A couple posts were warped pretty badly and one was broken making it difficult to hammer in.
Review local codes on installation
Would RecommendEasy to roll out. Easy to pound in stakes. Prefer green to blend into the neighorhood.

Silt Fence, works as it should.
Would RecommendThe silt fence worked for my needs, however, toward the middle of the roll, there was a white fungus. It did not bother me enough to return, but it was there. I don't know if that's common, but the fence still fill the need.
Bad stakes
Would Not RecommendStakes where dry rotted broke when installing
Coming apart
Would Not RecommendThe fabric had tears and places the fiber was coming apart. Not of good quality.
Stakes are good kindling
Would Not RecommendRipped thru staples on first windy day.
Silt fence for leaf containment
Would RecommendI bought this fence to keep the majority of leaves from my neighbors' yards from blowing into mine. It was fairly easy to install and is doing a good job of containing the leaves so far.
Silt Saver
Would RecommendProduct worked as expected to help redirect hill runoff.
Rotten stakes were unusable
Would Not RecommendThe black part was fine but the stakes were either rotten or had knots in them so that when you struck them with a hammer, they failed in the middle of the stake. completely unusable.
