Would Not RecommendI’ve used this product for (about) the last 10 years, and I’ve always love the combination of chips and hair. But this year is completely different from previous years. I purchased 6 bags and I combined them with 2 bags I still had from last year. Last year seems to be a blend of 50/50 or 60/40 chip and hair. This years version is practically all chips and very little hair if any, and that’s why I’ve always picked this blend is the mixture of chips and hair. Very disappointed.

Would RecommendThe product looks great and I plan to buy more! Amber, the Lowes employee, was awesome in helping this senior get the product to my car!! I so appreciate that I can usually find help in the garden dept. I just wish more employees would be hired. My local hardware store has lots of help so that is why I usually shop at a smaller store.

Good Quality
Would RecommendThe quality of this cedar mulch is very good. There is no dyed color, it is environment friendly. Some of the wood chips are not small but it is not a problem for me.

Cedar Bark Superior To Others
Would RecommendI really prefer the cedar bark over any other. I believe it is worth the extra cost. It has a wonderful scent, the shreds are a great size as they look very complimentary in my landscape and I think it deters insects as claimed. I have a cat and I don’t spray chemicals around the perimeter of my home but I do want to limit spiders and other pests. I think the cedar acts as a natural barrier around my yard as a deterrent to insects.
