Great coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this paint about 2 months ago for my bedroom. It's new construction so I was concerned about the coverage and cover up it would give for the uh-ohs in the drywall. Needless to say, I loved this paint. It covered most of the blemishes, except for my big marks in the wall from the sander, lol. Overall a great paint. I painted a 12 x 12 room with 2 gallons and my bedroom came out gorgeous. Thank you Valspar.

Great color, but…

The paint color turned out beautifully, true to the color on the sample strip. We have always used Valspar and it has been a quality product. However we are disappointed this time. The paint is incredibly thick. It will load easily on the roller, but doesnt spread easily in the walls. The coverage is good, we had a few places that needed touched up. This is where we are disappointed. After drying, when the light hits the walls at certain angles, you can see every roller mark or touched up area. ...

I went to Lowe’s and asked for white paint and they sold me the Valspar signature white satin paint. We used it and it took four coats on the ceiling and the door and it came out very sticky and it looks horrible. This paint is impossible to work with. I spent $208 on it for 5 gallons used a small portion of it but can’t return it as it has to be unopened. I am very unhappy with this purchase because now I have to come back and get a different kind of paint that hopefully will work. This was ...

My area was not treated so I had to use more than expected but it came out great

Use wisely

Thick as elmers glue & one coat is definitely enough. Try to use sparingly.

Save some money but not time

I got this in a dark red color after trying some expensive Sherwin Williams (from their store) paint that required multiple coats to get an even finish. Unfortunately this acted the same way and had to have two coats to get the job done. I definitely rate it better than the other stuff though because it was much cheaper and acted the same as the fancy brand name!

The paint went on the wall very well color was a dead on match roll on smooth in the painting very thick will buy it again.

Disappointed

Bought signature to paint a 12×12 room and followed directions. It took 2 gallons and dissatisfied with results. Have never had such a difficulty in paint applications. Paint just didn't co er properly. Walls were a light colored do we didn't expect to have to apply multiple coats.
