Would RecommendVery forgiving paint for a beginner. I messed up quite a few times and I’m still learning how to make even coats, but no matter how bad it looked wet, this dried significantly better. I’m going through a lot of this doing multiple coats due to spackle and mishaps, but one coat does a good job already.

Would RecommendValspar Reserve coated a 19 year old, heavily textured wall (is this a SW thing?), in one coat. I wanted the 14x10 wall as my accent wall. I assumed i would need a second coat because the plaster texture was really heavy. Maybe the last owner used an orange peel from Godzilla? Reserve coated evenly, in one coat. Its a gray tint so i would have noticed any blemishes or discoloration.

Would RecommendFurther to my review 12/21, and no way to append, felt compelled to add context and admit emotion may have interfered with critical thinking. The product that was discontinued (but served me well) had stock # 535098 White. Valspar support advised this was replaced with Reserve Flat Sheen #2916574 Ultra White base (being reviewed). Perhaps the primer I used may not have had the requisite resins to properly seal the sheetrock, that would explain the consumption. After a second coat, I got the expe...

Would Not RecommendUsed to be their Reserve was worth the money, but that was then. Didn't even get 300 sq ft from a gallon of the stuff (on properly-primed sheetrock) now and have to buy a 5-gallon pail to do my 235 sq ft living room. That ain't right... Should have been a single-star, but the dried finish of what was painted was (just) acceptable.
