Great for trim

Not One-Coat Coverage

This is definitely not a one-coat coverage paint. We had to do two coats in each room. Very disappointed that we paid extra for the one-coat coverage and could’ve easily used a different level of paint and gotten the same result. Not worth the price.

Best interior period.

Absolutely love Valspar. Their paints and brushes and rollers, well actually every product they offer is the best I've ever had the joy of using FIVE ⭐ FROM ME AND I'D GIVE IT A 10⭐ IF I COULD. THANKS VALSPAR.

2 Coats and covers great.

OUTSTANDING!!!! Great covering. For those saying they needed 3 coats then you need to learn how to PREP before you paint. I have NEVER found a single paint that doesn't need 2 coats, for proper coverage 2 coats. Washing walling patching holes, sanding where needed proper brushes and rollers 2 coats is all I have ever used. Yes many paints say "One Coat" so if you have to buy an extra gallon go back to the store and get a refund then buy another gallon, I have never had to to do that because I ...

Horrible coverage

Not close to 1 coat coverage. 3 minimum over very light colored walls and still looks terrible!

Wow!

I went to Lowes planning to buy Sherwin Williams to paint my toddlers new bedroom before baby #2 arrives. The Lowes rep told me the Sherwin Williams rep had just visited that day and told him the paints are the exactly same and there’s zero difference. I really found this hard to believe but after a lot of convincing I tried the reserve. The “one cost guarantee” on the can is not true, it needs two for sure. Love This Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a paint for my entire house that would withstand cleaning. I have children and 2 dogs in the house and the walls seem to always have little handprints on them. This paint is amazing and I have had no issues cleaning it. I also love how easy clean up is after I finished painting. Simple soap and water.

Great one coat coverage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love Valspar paints. I recently decided to try the Reserve. And it did not disappoint. I was attempting to cover a rather dark blue with a significantly lighter color. And the result was amazing. You can not go wrong with Valspar.

Don’t buy this paint

Worst paint ever purchased. We had to apply 3 coats over light colored walls because it looked like we didn’t use much paint. Now the paint is wrinkling in different areas of the walls. We would like our money back!

Mold everywhere

Using for exterior project (((chicken coop interior walls))) project is not even finished—- no animals living in the area,- and I’m covered in mold/mildew..

Horrible Stuff

This is the worst paint I have ever used in my life. It has great 1 coat coverage but it literally will peel off the walls! Tape off your door frames and baseboards; when you remove the tape, the paint comes with it! The worst $100 I’ve ever spent in 2 gallons of paint!! NEVER AGAIN!!

I am repainting my whole house and love how easy this Valspar Reserve is to use. Coverage is great!

Great coverage and colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that Valspar has so many great colors and superb coverage. Two coats and done. Sunday Sky is beautiful and serene. More importantly it made my blue-green "marine blue" stained cabinets coordinate with my fantasy marble "gray with purple tones" (that do not match at all) somehow the magic of this color makes them coordinate flawlessly. I'm painting my master bedroom 14x16 and it's taking me 5 gallons because this is not a one coat coverage extremely poor quality, I love the signature series and I usually always use that but now I don't even know if I will continue with Valspar because of the money I've wasted on 1 ROOM.. the wife chise RESERVE expecting too quality, im into residential remodeling and have painted 1000s of rooms but the WIFEY.... but it's not her fault wanting the best product....

The coverage of this paint on the wall that had been painted wrong was corrected and it looked soo beautiful. I was completely excited about the turn out of the whole house. Going forward- will only purchase this brand for any and all of my upcoming projects.

Not one coat paint

I have applied two coats of paint and still need about 2-3 more coats. “One coat guaranteed” Is false advertisement.
