Great coverage

Good paint

Good coverage, smooth finish, it was a turquios color so it stains easy on fabrics.

Great one-coat coverage

Bought eggshell sheen in the color Software (dark gray). Yes it’s expensive ($55) but was so worth it. One coat coverage over blue. Didn’t have to go over any of it twice. So if you do the math for only needing one coat and how much time it saves you—it’s a Win! Saved hours not having to do a second coat. Highly recommend!

NOT a One-Coat Paint!

Have recently used Valspar 2000 with reasonable results for several rooms in different colors (2-3 coats after proper prep). Was very hopeful Reserve would live up to it's guarantee for my final project (a whole 3-br/2ba paint job) and be ONE coat throughout, due to time constraints. While many walls were painted dark or rich colors, several walls to be painted were previously painted with Valspar 2000 High-Hide White paint done 2-4 years ago. Despite spending the time prepping AND priming darke...

RESERVE is Durable Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can truly vouch for Valspar RESERVE as being the #1 Best paint to stand up to your Toughest abuse! I moved into a rented home that had literally been boarded up for about a decade. It had unfinished concrete floors, covered in dried up mouse urine, mouse droppings, dead bugs, and dirt. I scrubbed the floors multiple times with bleach water, rinsed well, and dried well. I first painted the floors with primer, using a roller on my broom handle....

False advertisement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On Wednesday 6/13/24 I bought Valspar Reserve paint, it was put on the next day, it said One Coat, PLEASE STOP LYING TO THE customer because it takes more than one coat,change that to say it may take more than one coat, it's too expensive.

Not worth the price

Chalky when touched

Never lets me down…

If you are not happy with this product (Reserve) then you probably shouldn’t be painting at all. This paint especially in flat makes ok painters better and experienced ones know if they have tried it. The only downside for the working professional is that it’s pricey compared to production paint lines.
