[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the process of trying this product in my opinion it needs primer under it. I might be using it wrong though. the way I'm using the product it needs 2 coats

DOES NOT cover in one coa

Did not provide one coat coverage as advertised. Used full gallon on a room under 300 square ft & have to go back for more paint. Previous color bleeding through everywhere!

NOT AS ADVERTISED

I will never buy this paint again. I expected it to be one coat as advertised. I followed all the directions exactly as stated and after 2-3 coats, it looks just okay. I've used comparable brands that covered in one coat and look amazing dry. The consistency was wildly different from gallon to gallon as well (even in the same color and base).

Did not cover light on light in 1 coat. Custom not happy with high price and low performance

It’s ok. Doesn’t live up to the hype.

You’re definitely going to need to use multiple coats regardless of what you’re painting over.

Disappointed

I've painted for many years now. I chose valspar because I got a sample then painted one wall. It looked really nice. Went on smooth, like the thickness of it, covered really well and the price was reasonable. I need around 6 to 10 cans. When I did my other walls, you can see where I rolled, spots all over. I have never had this issue. I'm still painting, so I have to keep using it or it will probably be noticeable if I change brands. The color probably won't match. Very disappointed. I would p...

Rolls on thick but...

Great Paint but..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Valspar Reserve interior paint itself is great! We painted over our red kitchen that had been driving us craft since we moved in. Even with the bold red the Reserve only took one coat period, it was amazing and we only needed one can. I felt if we utilized the less expensive cans we would have spent more buying two cans. The only complaint is maybe the paint didn’t mix well because it’s so good and thick or Lowe’s didn’t shake it long enoug...

Why not able to mix 5 gallons that is less

Wanted 5 gallons but had to go with 3 gallons because she could mix with 5 gallon bucket because of some D thing in it so costed more

Not one coat, but four!

Beautiful color (purchased the Berry Brown) but it's absolutely not one coat coverage... It's four! I've done many interior painting projects, personally and professionally, and am surprised at how long painting a single small bedroom has taken with this product. It's certainly pretty, but not what it promised to be. I don't recommend for vibrant color use.

Great Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have recently purchased our first home. When selecting our interior colors, we immediately feel in love with the array of colors Valspar has to offer. When it came down to choosing which type of product to use for our walls, we knew Valspar's Reserve was the way to go. The paint quality is just what we needed and it already comes with primer, so it was a plus in our book!

One coat paint

I got this because it looked like It could cover a dark blue with just one coat. It sure did and no streaks. Excellent paint.
