Beautiful Paint!

Scuff Marks all over

Color is great, coverage was okay but definitely was not one coat coverage. The slightest touch to paint leaves a mark. This is going in a kids room so there will be plenty of hands on the wall. Good news is the marks will wipe off, but then it leaves a wipe spot on the wall. Going to try a different roller for the 3rd coat in hopes the marks stop showing up. Never had this issue with any paint before

Hate this paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a gallon to paint one tan wall 8x12 with a burgundy color. I’m now on my 4th coat and can still see thru the paint color to see the tan

So - so

We used this in eggshell to paint over walls with a pale grey on them . It did not come close to one-coat coverage, even over a very light color with another light color. We did all the prep work and made sure we followed usage directions. Very disappointed in this paint. Once the 2 coats were on and dried, it looked good. But we went with this paint specifically and paid more for it because it is supposed to be one-coat coverage. Especially since it was a light color over a similar light color....

What a waste of time

Had two cans mixed at the same time, same formula, same name…two completely different colors. Had to buy two more gallons and the time to repaint. As a contractor…this will be the last time we use Valspar

One coat is a inaccurate

I cleaned my walls and let them dry, took off my outlet and switch covers, used the paint calculator to ensure I was using the correct spread rate and the one coat is not even close to accurate even when following the instructions! I followed the recommendation of making and N and then using up and down strokes but quickly found that I would need much more paint than the paint calculator estimated. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a chance to try Valspar Reserve Interior Paint & Primer. It was nice and smooth, easy to apply, and the paint color looked really nice and was mixed well. I was very happy with the results. I also didn't need as many coats with it being paint and primer product in one.

Absolutely not one coat

Bought this today, painted and it is not one coat. Not enough left to do a second. We thought going the best route would be expensive paint that guarantees one coat coverage. We did all the steps properly like their website says and still you can easily see the primer shining through in the whole room. Usually they can’t get the exact same color tint either as the first gal so looks like we will have to buy a whole different brand and start over. Highly upset with this experience and we won’t be...

Overpriced and Low Qualit

I followed every instruction, hoping that this paint would cover in a single coat as advertised. It definitely needs multiple coats. I was super unhappy with the coverage, color, and sheen. Considering the premium you pay for this paint, it is quite low quality. If you have any sheen, it may become too shiny when you are forced to do a second coat.

Poor quality paint

It says one coat plus primer but I'm on my fifth coat and it's still not covering, clearly it's not a one coat paint. I'm guessing that we're going to be at eight coats and a second gallon of this garbage paint has proper coverage. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.

Bright white...not 1 coat

I bought this a week ago and used it on some walls that I already did 2 coats of white primer on. Spent the extra money so I would only need a single coat. It couldn't cover in a single coat so I wasted that extra money.

One coverage guarate-Not

Nice paint, nice color. Easy to work with and finished product looks nice. Bought it to cover two different colors and bought specifically for the one coat coverage guaranteed which is right on front. I've made the mistake of buying cheaper paint in the past so I figured I'd spend the money this time. Unfortunately it required two coats on both colors...one light yellow, one red. The red I could maybe see but the yellow should have covered. I would have bought cheaper paint and done two coat...

Beautiful Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Valspar Reserve® Interior Paint + Primer has wonderful coverage. No need for coats of primer and multiple coats of paint to cover. I used this in a dining room with navy walls and various marks and putty filled nail holes. It went on smoothly and covered like a dream. Now my dining room is light and cheery in day. I highly recommend for DIY projects and painting.

Not Pleased

I bought this expensive paint in an effort to save time for a weekend paint job; a small bedroom. The original walls were off white and I was painting them a different white and still had to do two coats. I could have gotten the cheaper Valspar 2000 if I was going to have to do 2 coats anyway. Also, the flat paint still has a sheen. It's not flat. Not pleased.
