Terrible coverage

I've never seen paint with as horrible of coverage as Valspar Ultra. It was super splotchy after drying and not uniform at all. I decided to upgrade to a more premium paint midway through painting because this stuff is terrible.

Excellent coverage

Disappointed in Ultra

I bought this paint almost a year ago and liked it. I had some left and began painting a room. I went and purchased another gallon of the same, except it wasn’t. It was thin and runny! It took three coats! Valspar, what happened! I am a long time customer, but now, I have lost confidence.

Valspar express coat

Please do not waste your money and time on this paint. It is so thin it doesn’t cover. We used it as a base paint to cover the previous colour, a mid green. It bubbled and took five coats minimum to cover up. If you want a paint stripper this works well. It seems to put dampness causing peeling. It’s rubbish don’t be persuaded by the price I had to put one star because there isn’t a minus star.

Not what I expected

Bought a gallon of tinted satin. I had used about 9 gallons of Ultra White flat to paint all of my ceilings. I had so so results but attributed it to my lack of experience and perhaps not using the right roller nap. I’ve used nearly a whole gallon on my master bath which is less than 150 square feet of paintable wall space. And I still can see spots that didn’t cover the original paint.

Spray it on instead of rolling or brushing

We painted our garage and our office and the paint was exactly the red color we wanted.

This is the worst paint that I ever used. We had to use 5 gallons to cover only 900 square feet when it shoud have coverd 1800/sq. feet. My husband prepared the ceiling and looked forward to having a nice ultra white ceiling just as the label said but it was anything but. The paint did Not cover 900 square feet after having to go over the ceiling twice leaving the ceiling looking horrible.

Waste of money&time

I bought this paint ultra white ... place is already white. This product needs 3-5 coats to cover properly. So frustrated.

Great Product

Used this to paint a spare bedroom after my son moved out. He had done a number on the walls, with fingerprints, dirt and such. We chose the color Sea Salt in flat and it’s absolutely beautiful in our farm house. It pops with the white trim. Went on easy with a buttery smooth, velvety consistency. One coat looked good, but two coats made the color rich and lovely. I’m sure it will last us for years to come. Thanks for making such a great product!

Good product

It was nice and smooth, easy to apply, and the paint color looked really nice and was mixed well. I was very happy with the results. I also didn't need as many coats with it being paint and primer product in one.

This is a Game Changer!

Poor coverage

Bought this paint to give the bathroom a fresh look. The coverage was so poor we are going to have to go back and buy another gallon to get the job done. Three coats in a bathroom? Wow! Never had a paint act like this. Time and money lost

great paint

Don't waste your time or

This is the worst paint. It does not cover. I painted my bedroom over flat white. I needed two sometimes 3 coats of coffee color paint. After it dried the paint did not wear well. Just the slightest look would cause a chip or scratch. I painted my kitchen & living room with Behrs. One coat... last years
