Goes on and stays

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has a thicker consistency and goes on great. I am not a paint expert, but this is the minimum I now purchase. The cheaper 2000 does not work well.

My go to paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been redecorating my home. I painted three rooms so far. I have used others paints before but, the paint and primer is the best. I covered a wall that was painted black. It is now light blue. two coats and done!

Superior paint

Love this paint!

If it gets a scratch

I've been painting with valspar for year.the last couple of times we've. Painted the paint just peeled off the wall. This time it went down to paint original paint .

Not Worth It

A friend is a painter, he said go with Beair... After all the money we had to put out for cleanup from Hurrican IAN, we wanted to save a bit of money. Well, we spent way more money and time, that we will never get back. The project should have taken 3 gallons of white and 3 gallons of yellow. 2 coats each. Instead, we went through 6 gallons of white and 9 gallons of yellow. 4 coats of white and 6 coats of yellow, all-over white walls. Paint and Primer?? I say no!!!

The PERFECT white!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am repainting our home and was on the hunt for a white. If you’ve ever tried to find a good white you know the struggle. Look no further, go with Du Jour!! (I used Eggshell) A simple, warm, clean white. No yellow tones. And not overly bright. It complimented all the other colors, patterns, and textures of our home. Definitely going to continue this white all throughout our main living area and some rooms. It is now my go-to!!

Stood up to nothing

The can says you need only one cost. Which makes sense because you can buy 2 gallons of the entry level valspar for this cost and that needs 2 coats. We gave it 36 hours to cure though it seemed just about done in 1 hour. It's not even a week old and you can see the photo, flecking off. Choose another brand. They best valspar has to offer isn't a quality product.

Worst coverage. I am doing a 2 time project. Let first wall dry for a week, after using painters tape to do second, pulled first paint off.. junk junk junk

something has changed

I have always loved Valspar paint. 3 months ago I bought a sample size the darkest of three colors on a paint chip. It went on beautifully thick didn't drip covered completely. It took 3 days for the paint remnants to finally wash of my hands. But it was too dark so this week I bought a sample size exactly the same of the lighter color on the same paint chip. It was awful! Runny dripped everywhere didn't cover and washed right off my hands. So I went back to the store and asked the guy what has ...

Paint not scuff resistant

I bought this paint thinking it was good paint. No it's NOT scuff resistant, any little thing touches it and the paint is gone. The wait time before having anything to touch it was like 2 weeks. Not satisfied at all with nothing but the colors.

Did not adhere. Period.

I have used many paints in many applications and have never had paint scratch off this easily. This paint scratches of way too easily. Yes, I've applied with primer, without primer, washed the surface etc. Nothing helps.

Excellent Paint

I have used Valspar for over a decade and LOVE the product. Dark colors go on beautifully and I have only ever had to do 2 coats when I did not primer first. I prefer the satin, but even the semi-gloss goes on well. Do NOT try to apply it with generic rollers or brushes, they are cheap for a reason, and it is NOT a defect of the paint, but rather, the fact that you went for the cheap brushes and rollers. 21 rooms, halls, and spaces in my home, all painted with Valspar Signature, almost all...

Fantastic coverage

Extremely Dissatisfied.

I just purchased a can and yes it was shaken yes I clean the walls before I started I even use Valspar brushes and rollers. But the work came out extremely patchy. There was no coverage at all. I’m extremely disappointed because I am on my third coat and it’s still messy. Can I return all the items are used absolutely not. Just lost out on money and now I have to go buy another can to clean up the mess this one made.
