Took it back and asked if it should have been tinted to white. They shook it again for me and I headed home only to read the reviews confirming there is not enough paint in this gallon of paint. Taking it back tomorrow.

Excellenf coverage
Would RecommendDries smoothly showing no brush marks. Depending on surface, may need multiple coats to achieve higher gloss. Used it on door scratches that were not quite deep enough for spackle. Blotted into the scratches and then lightly ran brush in direction of scratch. Not invisible up close but a lot easier than trying to get a perfectly smooth finish with wood filler.

Paint employees need more training
Would Not RecommendI told the employee several months ago that I wanted an oil based enamel paint. They pulled this paint off the shelf in quart size, told me it would be exactly what I needed. I wanted the best, Valspar High Gloss Enamel is NOT the best. It was latex and it is shiny in places, matte in others. It is a rough finish and I tried a brush and a roller to no avail.
