How do you install a deck drain to drain away from your house?

Perlins run length wise every 4 feet with gradually larger dimension to allow for a 3 inch drop house side to front side. This will allow for the drop which allows the drainage to run away from the house. cut the TufTex a bit shorter than the front of your deck to allow enough space to install a gutter on the inside of the outward facing front beam add downspout to gutter as needed.

It would drain to the left and right of my patio (the way its set up). All I am going to do is make a mounting brackets out of 2x2x8 and run them horizontal to my deck joists. Which should push the water away from my house and not the sides.
