Would this lock comb fit a ( outer ) mental screen door ?

As long as your door is at lease 1 3/8" thick and no more that 1 3/4" thick. If you take the measurements in to your local Lowe's, the associates there would be able to to tell for sure. I really depends on the type of metal screen door that you have.

This lock will fit any type door as long as it meets the desired dementions and cut sizes. The size of the hole to fit the latch for both deadbolt and door knob is 1" diameter. The cutout size for the knob amd deadbolt facings have to be 2 1/8" in diameter. The backset of the cut should either be 2 3/8" - 2 3/4". This meansthe center of the cut is either of those sizes from the edge of the door. The door thickness has to be between 1 1/4"- 1 3/4" thick. So if your door meets those requirements, you can use this and all other Gatehouse doorknobs and deadbolts.
