This unit has a Limited Lifetime Warranty. That means that you have coverage on the mechanical workings as well as the finish. The warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, or commercial installations. If a component on the lock fails, a new component on the unit will be sent out. Sometimes the manufacturer may require you to send the unit to them is the unit is replaced as a whole. This unit will fit any standard front door. Not screen or security doors. The locking device is a simple thumb turn style lock.
