Should there be a gap between them when running end to end when making the attic a condition space


It depends on the type of insulation - if you are spray foaming over the vents then overlap them. If you are installing fiberglass - leave a 1" gap between the vents for airborne moisture to escape - this moisture comes from showering, cooking, or a new home drying.
