What size screws do I need to mount a wall sconce? It came with screws that seem to be the right size but are proving hard/impossible to drive in.


I figured the screws were bad! Purchased some 8/32 steel screws from Lowe's and they fit perfectly.

8/32 is what a ceiling box requires. You can try an 6/32 and see if it fixes the issue.
