Do these connectors have ANY LEAD IN THEM? 0%?

I want to point out to all the people saying 'don't use aluminum use brass' - if you have aluminum hose ends, quite possibly due to aiming for something drinking safe, or not adding lead to your veggie garden, then aluminum fittings would be a proper match, not brass. (Also for people with joint problems who might care about weight reduction.) --Different metals sitting in contact with each other slowly can react & effectively weld themselves together.-- Yardsmith, please reply whether these are drinking water safe or if theres anything in the coating or mechanism that would contaminate? I know if sitting moist can have gowth, but what about the materials themselves leaching?
Was this Answer Helpful ?The color may be "brass" but I'm pretty certain these are anodized aluminum. They work well when new but can corrode eventually.
Was this Answer Helpful ?To my knowledge there is no lead in these couplers. Brass is usually Copper and Zinc
Was this Answer Helpful ?I doubt that very much. They are brass connectors. I think if you have a concern for lead, you should contact the manufacturer. Lead would not hold up under the pressure anyway when connected I do not think.
