Put the valve at the furthest sink. Some upstairs application require another valve for upstairs.

The long gray piece at the bottom of the picture is a "smart valve" that you install under a sink that is furthest from the heater. It is very simple to hook up and if you have a branch running in another direction from the heater, all you have to do is add another smart valve on that end too under another sink. Ex: If the heater is in the center of the house and hot water lines run in two different directions to opposite ends of the house. I've installed these very units and the box had all I needed to connect them.

it' not a stop, it's a recirculating valve installed at the furtherst set of stops under a lav or sink. Depends if your system is a home run or loop whether you might need more than one valve. My house only needed one but you can purchase additional valves thru your local supplier.

A comfort valve (recirculating valve) will need to be installed at any long run faucets. They are about $45 each on line. The unit comes with ONE.

It would require a comfort valve (recirculating valve) at each faucet if you want instant hot water there. The valve kits are about $45 each on line.

It comes with one comfort valve (recirculating valve), but you would need one at every faucet if you want instant hot water there. If your faucets are all one one loop and NOT manifolded then one comfort valve would work. Most modern homes are plumbed with manifolded lines.
