This pump WILL NOT work on a tank-less system. A tank-less works on demand. In other words it only heats water when there is demand in the system for hot water. These pumps work on a normal hot water tank by circulating a very low flow of hot water through the system.

If you have the installation manual to your tankless heater, it should have a section about connecting a circulation pump system. Typically, you only need a small storage tank, check valves and a few fittings. If you don't have the manual, you should be able to find a PDF version at the manufacturers website.

I have not researched if the hot water circulation pump will work on a tankless water heater. It seems to me that you'd lose the benefit of having a tankless water heater if you had it recirculating contantly. In my case, we have a typical 50 gallon water heater. Good Luck
