If the pump is on a programable timer what is the purpose of the temperature control valve? Will the pump still circulate the water if it's above 95*

The pump will still run if the valve is closed if the timer is not set properly but it only increases the line pressure about 2 psi so it will not damage the valve if it were pumping while the valve is closed.
