Can I cut a Trex Transcend 2"X4" into 2 2"X2"? I'm trying to achieve a 2"X2". Thanks!


Hey Mike, The actual dimensions of a 2x4x16 are 1.3"x 3.4" x16' so if you were to cut that in half, it would not be wide enough per our installation guide recommendations. It would be difficult to use any time of recommended fastener. I hope that helps! Thank you- Trex Customer Care Team
