what are the subsurface requirements? Can trex be place over concrete, sand, or on treated lumber directly on the ground?


Hello, and thank you for considering Trex products! Trex composite boards require at least 1 1/2" clearance for proper water drainage and air flow. If you're installing on top of a solid surface, a sleeper system would need to be used before installing Trex boards.
