What is the difference between grooved and square?


Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex! Trex offers boards in both a square edge and grooved edge profile for different fastening methods, and for aesthetic reasons. The grooved edge board is designed for use with Trex Hidden Fasteners, and the square edge board is designed to provide a clean, finished edge appearance where needed such as the decks outer edge board, or for picture framing the deck.
