Is this product suitable for ground contact?

Hello Don, and thank you for your interest in Trex! Trex should not be installed onto a flat surface or water tight system, therefore it should be a minimum of 1.5" off ground level. To do so you would build a sleeper system from code approved structural material to act as a substructure between Trex and the solid surface below.
