What width of boards? How many boards in box? Top surface smooth or grooves (for dirt/debris to get caught)? Will dog claws ruin/scratch finish?


The boards I received actually range from 5-3/8 to 5-1/2", so matching up the ends at a butt joint looks pretty poor.

Hello, and thank you for considering Trex decking. The width of the boards is 5.5". The boards are not completely scratch resistant, but the Select line holds up very well to animals, heavy furniture, and normal wear and tear of a decking surface. The select boards do have a slight grain pattern, but it is much more shallow than that of our Enhance or Transcend lines. Kindly, Elisabeth-Trex Customer Care

The board is 5.5 inches wide and one box contains one piece and it is scratch resistant.
