I want to install Trex OVER the railing of an above ground pool. The manual says the overhang should be no more than 1/2". What are some options?


Good afternoon and thank you for your interest in Trex. The allowable overhang listed in our install guide it for the boards being used for the decking and stairs. With that said, the Select and Transcend boards are able to be used in the cocktail railing as you are speaking of without issue because they will not be taking on any weight like the walking surfaces. Unfortunately, our Enhance boards cannot be used in this application though, due to the scalloped underside.
